Company History

Energreen is the brand name under which Laserjet an Italian mechanical manufacturer company decided to market a new range of self-propelled machines for vegetation control.

In brief here is the story of Laserjet.

Initially trained as traditional craftsmen, they soon gained a foothold in the sheet metal-working industry by adopting, as early as 1986, innovative technologies for the cutting, folding and welding of components. These included CO laser, Water jet, laser welding, rapid prototyping laser and everything else that technology was able to offer during that period. Over the years their sheer passion for the work, their determination and the respect and esteem of their aides led to the establishment of a 'corporate group’, a group of people who identified themselves in the company. Thanks to in-house training, the technical staff enjoy a high degree of specialisation. Periodically updated Laserjet staff now offer a punctual, comprehensive, highly qualified service that provides parts and components for machines of all types. In short, whatever the request from the industry, the company can produce made-to-measure components for it. In 2000, after twenty years of working as an outsource for other companies the management of Laserjet took up a new challenge.

They designed and manufactured a complete unique range of self-propelled, maintenance machines.  Although a relatively new machine, it has gained a solid reputation throughout Europe with over 450 machines sold across Italy, France, Germany, Holland, Spain and Sweden. The machines, designed for landscape maintenance, are suitable for use on roads, motorways, river and channel banks, ditches etc as well as a model that can drive onto and operate on railway tracks. The key to their success has been the use of ‘cutting-edge’ technology and the fact that the design and development has been customer driven. A patented rotating cab system, an absolutely unique feature not available with any other machine ensures  total comfort for the drivers. The machine also has many of the capabilities of an excavator, reducing the need, in many cases, for separate tractor units and excavators.

They have been well tested in the waterway maintenance work with 60% of the Italian “Consorzi di Bonifica”, equivalent to our Drainage Boards and Environment Agencies which are now using Energreen machines.
Swiss railway tracks are kept clean day and night by 14 Energreen machines working non stop.
The French, German and Italian motorway verges and banks are mowed by Energreen machines.

In 2009 Mr. Lucio Cardani and the directors of the CTM Harpley Engineering Ltd joined forces to establish EnergreenUK limited,
sole distributor of the Energreen machines for the whole of the UK territory.  CTM Harpley Engineering Ltd is a family business established in 1950 with an outstanding reputation for specialist agricultural machinery mainly for the sugar beet and potato sectors.
